Because of the success of the Bluebell Festival no one wanted to wait a whole year for another so The George Hotel and Sound Accommodation were quick to organise another weekend packed with music. I had fun putting together a poster and leaflet for the event, its in a similar vane to the Bluebell one as its a similar, yet bigger and better event.
Hope to see you there, remember you won't need your wellies but you can wear them if you like.

This section is for me to ramble on about anything I like
Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August 2009
Another great weekend was The Disconnect Music Festival at The George Hotel, much alike the Bluebell Fest in May it featured some of the same artists and many new ones, The Privates Hammond Orchestra were a highlight for me on the Friday night. Unfortunately my band The Camans had to head into Glasgow on the Saturday night for a gig so I missed the Saturday night bands but I still took a few snaps when I was there.

What's this weather like eh! It makes you want to emigrate to the South of France so it does. It's just as well the Hydro Connect Festival is cancelled this year, I imagine the camping field would be a tad soggy.

Had a great weekend at The Bluebell Festival even though the weather wasn't perfect, the bands were well sheltered from the rain when it did fall. Bow Jest opened the weekend with some delightful gentle folkieness, other highlights for me were catching the last bit of Chi Weapon's funky grooves on the Saturday and Ten to Five Project who closed the weekend perfectly. Craig and I were joined by Ben and Gary from Chi Weapon and Cat Calton during our set on Sunday afternoon, excitement was high and there is already talk of next years festival and maybe even something before that, stay tuned.

Went to see Yann Tiersan at the ABC Glasgow, he's most famous for his Amelie soundtrack but we didn't know what to expect! We were blown away with a brilliant gig, the fact that we didn't know any of the material didn't matter one bit, for me it had shades of Radiohead and Doves and was a thoroughly enjoyable night.

Played at the Food fair between 3 and 5pm, and unlike last years glorious weather it was very wet, didn't cause too much trouble and actually created a better atmosphere inside the tent, our acoustic janglings even got the dance floor full of muddy wellies.

My first time seeing Doves and I wasn't dissappointed, from the very start it was a brilliant show. The Barrowlands is still my favorite Rock venue in Glasgow, canny whack it!
May is a busy month for gigs with the highlight being the Bluebell Music Festival at The George Hotel, Inveraray from 22nd to 24th of May. I had the opportunity of doing a poster for the event and have hopefully created a fun, summertime look for it. I'm hoping the sun will shine and we'll get some of the bands to play outside in the beer garden.
I hope you can join us for some great music and Fyne Ale from the local brewery. For more dates and information on my band The Camans, visit MySpace...

I was lucky enough to get a free weekend in this fantastic luxury lodge to check it out and take some photos for the website I was putting together. I had a great time with the family and did plenty of relaxing, well as much as you can do with two noisy kids.
